Fatou Koïta, an African student

Fatou Koïta is 20 years old and she comes from Mauritania. She is a second-year undergraduate student at ISEM. Let’s discover more about her ISEM experience!

Why did you choose ISEM ?

When I was high-school student in Mauritania, I wanted to go to Business School, but it was too expensive, so I came here, because it was a mix between university and Business School. There are a lot of interesting courses. I can become what I’d like to be.

How will your ISEM studies help you in your future career?

I don’t have a fixed idea  of what I want to be, but I know that I want to go in the accounting and finance area. And this university allows me to study it, so it’s great. We do internships and a lot of exchange with over countries. The advantage is that the prices are affordable.

How did you choose to come to France ?

I was in a French high-school in Mauritania, so it was normal for every student to go to other countries to study, as Canada or England. I chose France because it was more comfortable for me. I know people here, so it was evident to me.

Tell us about your adaptation experience :

In general, at the beginning,  it wasn’t very easy, because people here are different from my country. However they are very available and kind, so in the end it was worthy.

Wahaw v ISEM yakhoutouni marahba bikoum !

Come to ISEM, you are welcome !
